Simply Goth Unboxing: 2 Videos

Hello, my dear lovelies!  I have 2 videos to show you in this post.  The first one is a simple OOTD video and the second is an unboxing video.  We received about 4 inches of snow, while other areas in my state received up to 8 inches.  Despite the snowfall, the weather wasn’t that cold.  The temperatures reached 35° F (1.6° C), but it wasn’t too windy.  The air was cold but crisp.

Here’s the OOTD video.  I wanted to show a simple, goth style with just a sweater, skirt, and boots.

Here is the unboxing video.  This video contains 2 unboxings: one is a purchase I made on Etsy from a shop called DIVINEYES.  The second one is a gift that I received from ZombieMommy, one of my viewers.  She also has a shop on Facebook: Dark Adapted Eye.

That’s it for now.  I hope you all enjoyed the videos.  At 21 minutes, the second video is a lot longer than my usual videos, but I think it’s worth it.  I was expecting a small box from ZombieMommy, but she hooked me up!  Watch the video to see just how EXCITED I was!  It was a nice surprise to receive such a large box in the mail.

Goth TAG: My Perfect Imperfections

Good morning, lovelies!  Yes, I’ve done another goth tag listing my Perfect Imperfections.  I saw this tag done by a fellow goth YouTuber, skullgirdle, and decided to do it, too.  In this tag, I list 3 things I like about myself and 3 things I do NOT like about myself.  Of course, I have more than 3 likes and dislikes, but the tag only calls for 3 each.

I hope you all enjoy this tag.  What are YOUR perfect imperfections?  Feel free to comment and/or make your own video on this tag.

My 10 Ungoth Confessions

Hello, my dear SoulFlowers!  A few weeks back, I shared with you all my 10 Goth Clichés and today, I’m sharing my 10 Ungoth Confessions.  This is a short list of my likes and dislikes that I have that are…GASP!…not goth.  Some of you will, no doubt, share some of my likes and dislikes.

I hope you enjoy this video.   Is there anything ungoth that you would like to confess to?  Feel free to ‘fess up and share in the comments.

Red Wine Review: APOTHIC WINE

apothecary /əˈpäTHəˌkerē/ – late Middle English, noun: a person who prepared and sold medicines and drugs

Hello, lovelies!  In this video, I review 4 red wines from Apothic Wines.  The only one I’ve tried before is Apothic Red, which I really like.  But while I was on Amazon, I saw that Apothic makes 4 red wines: Apothic Red, Apothic Dark, Apothic Crush, and Apothic Inferno.

I was wondering what “apothic” meant, so I looked it up.  The word seems to be made up and is strictly a brand name.  The closest word I found was apothecary, which still seems to fit with alcohol consumption.

Here are a few of my tasting notes.  If you need a little help, Wine Folly is an excellent resource for beginners.  Just click on the “Blog” tab for more information and how-tos.

I hope you all enjoyed my review.  Have you tried any of Apothic wines?  I know that Apothic makes a white wine (Apothic White), but after looking I see that they also have a sparkling wine (Apothic Sparkling) and a rosé (Apothic Rose)!  Looks like I’ll have to do another review.

Birthday Haul & OOTD Videos

Hello, lovelies!  In this post, you’ll get not one, but TWO birthday videos.  Woot woot!  The first video is an OOTD video.  While I was filming the birthday haul, I decided to do a quick OOTD video and show you all what I wore.  More awesome news: the dress I wore was NOT in black.  A rarity, I know.

Here is the birthday haul video.  It was an unseasonably, warm day here in Maryland.  The temperatures reached a high of 79° F (26° C).  As you’ll see in the video, the trees behind me are barren against a bright, sunny sky.

Well, that concludes the videos for my 45th birthday.  All of the items purchased in the haul video were bought months ahead of my birthday.  Whenever I buy birthday gifts for myself, I don’t use them until AFTER my birthday.  I feel this makes my purchases more “gifty”.

My 10 Goth Clichés

Hello, dear lovelies!  A few weeks back, a goth tag was started by Toxic Tears called “My 10 Goth Clichés”.  Although this tag was started by Toxic Tears, I had learned about this tag from another goth YouTuber, Orphea333.  I hadn’t done a goth tag in a long while, so I decided to give this a go.

I hope you all enjoy listening to my 10 goth clichés.  What are your goth clichés?  Feel free to share in the comments.

My First Live Q&A

Hello, lovelies!  On Saturday, I posted my very first live stream on YouTube!  It was also my first Q&A.  It went fairly well, but I still have a lot to learn.  I will definitely be doing this again.

This Q&A has 2 parts.  The first part was cut off by YouTube and I lost the connection.  I was going to end it there but there were viewers waiting, wondering what happened.  So I decided to continue the live stream, creating a Part 2.

I hope you all enjoy these 2 videos.  The next live stream will go much smoother, hopefully.  I’m still working on the audio for my videos. *sad face*

Gothic Makeup For Eyeglasses: Opal

Hello, lovelies!  Welcome back to another makeup video, this time using my “regularly scheduled makeup”.  Back in October, a viewer requested a makeup tutorial for the look I presented for October’s birthstone, Opal.  To see how I achieved that makeup look, go ahead and click the video below.   I’ll show you how to achieve this makeup look, both with eyeglasses and without.

I hope you all had as much fun watching this video as I did making it.  I think I’m starting to find my niche, although I don’t plan on solely creating makeup videos.  But do expect to see more makeup looks and gothic experiments.  For the makeup used in the video, you can take a peek at the list, underneath my signature.

Gothic White Makeup: An Experiment

Hello, SoulFlowers!  Welcome to my first Gothic Makeup Experiment.  In the 20+ years that I’ve been in the goth subculture, I’ve never tried wearing white makeup.  The main reason for this is that I have brown skin and there’s no way that white makeup would look good on me.

But is that necessarily true?  Sure, it can be a hard look to pull off, even for goths with naturally fair skin.  But, there are a few people of color that have worn white makeup and they were able to pull it off.  Will I be able to?

In this video, I decided to give white makeup a try.  Get ready to laugh your butt off!

So, how did I do?  I think the result was “meh”.  This is not a look that I would normally wear.  It looks very costumey, so I will save this look for special occasions.

Keep in mind that not only was this the very first time trying white makeup, but I went into this blind – I didn’t follow any tutorials.  Luckily, I received some great advice from viewers on applying white makeup.  And one thing that is clear: the blush did not work for this look.

I hope you enjoyed the video.  After some pointers from my viewers, I will give this look another try.  The makeup that I used (it’s a long list) is listed below my signature.

Dasia Denise
