OOTD & Makeup – Simple Goth for Winter Solstice

image

Hello, fellow darklings.  Today is Winter Solstice, which marks the first official day of Winter and also the longest night (and shortest day) of the year.  Unfortunately, I “celebrated” Winter by having a nasty cold all week.  Yuck!  Fortunately, I’m feeling a lot better.

Today’s outfit is very simple.  I’m working on simplifying my wardrobe (post coming up soon) and today it’s just a skirt, a sweater, leggings, and a pair of boots.  It’s also been raining, so no long skirts or pants for today.

I decided on dark makeup for Winter Solstice: dark eyes and dark lips.  Instead of my usual bindi, I’m wearing on 2 stamped diamonds on my forehead.  Nothing sparkly – just simple and dark.

Well, that’s it for today.  My apologies for the short (but simple – *wink*) post.  The next couple of posts will be pretty short as well, since they will be year-in-review posts.  Christmas is this Friday and I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday!

Love & Shimmies,

    1. Yes and no. They may frizz a bit and “lie down” with the rain, although it’s not a dramatic change. But if you’re caught in a downpour, they’ll get heavy from all of the water – and will take forever to dry!

  1. I’m glad you’re over the cold, those can last forever 🙁

It’s funny that you mentioned about simplifying your wardrobe, I was just thinking about that today! I find it hardest to get rid of jackets, but I’ve got more of those than I’ll use in a lifetime. What items do you tend to accumulate?
